According to appearance, at present, sofa is divided into classical and modern two major types.

Generally, with traditional elements, classical sofa adopts traditional technology and craftwork, the structure is more complicated. The exposed parts are processing with sculpture, mosaics, painted, decorative finishes to decorate. Long production period and high technical requirements.

The modern sofa is relatively simple, new technology and new materials, short production period for mass production.

(1)Sofa is made with three parts, main wooden framework, filling materials and covers.
the main wooden framework of the sofa is basic structure. Normally, material is wood, steel, hard board, or MDF(medium density fibre board). at present, MDF is common to use. framework meets the modeling requirements and the strength demand.

(2)Filling materials plays a decisive role on the sofa comfort. traditional material is coconut fiber, spring. at present, it is expanded plastic, foam and  synthetic materials and so on. Filler should have good flexibility, anti-fatigue, long life. different parts, different loading capacity and comfort requirements.

(3) Cover texture and color determine sofa quality. there are a large rang of cover materials. with the technology progress, there will be more and more covers.
